Secret Societies

Secret Societies have always interested me, and in some cases, they can have a WASPy attitude. Let's take my favorite secret society for example, Yale's Skull and Bones Secret Society. First, I love their group photos, and I love the conservative WASP style they envoke. How many college kids today dress like the young gentleman in the photos. Bonesman as they are referred to, always posed in the same manner for group photos. Skull and Bones were always present, and a grandfather clock was in the background displaying a time of eight o'clock. Very little is known about what actually goes on in this particular secret society, but we know that some very famous men are members. If you will look on the back row of the photo above, you will see former President George H.W. Bush. In addtion, his son George W. Bush, and many other presidents have been identified as members of Yale's secret club. It is also belief that the CIA began inside the Skull and Bones network, and the movie The Good Shepherd is dedicated to this belief. Other movies have been made about the society, and many of them are interesting. The first that comes to mind is Skulls, and I was impressed with the traditional portrayal of the club in the movie. There was actually a duel in the movie! You know, now I wish I went to Yale! Maybe, I could have got in their little club :)

I've read "Secrets of The Tomb" by Alexandra Robbins, and if any of the stuff she uncovered is true... this group is pretty much unstoppable!

It is has been my findings to suggest, that such comments are found from those who are social outcast. Such people lack the style and class that it would take to even be considered in these societies. The WASP life is in it's self a society. To suggest that an elite secret society is just for prepubesent boys, tells me that that earlier comment was made from someone who will always be on the outside looking in.

Now I am pissed off with that last comment. It is the weak minded idiots of this country that can't look past the media's clear liberal bias. More than 90 percent of the country doesn't even really know what a president does, and they attack simply because the media gives a thumbs down. Oh, I guess Barak Obama will save us all with his message of peace and prosperity. Give me a break, the people of this country will see how good they have it now if Obama/Clinton is elected. If either of those two are elected, we might as well fly the Russian flag in this country. I will take a spoiled snot nosed WASP anyday before I would vote for one of the Democrat creeps.

I would consider Northeastern secret societies, in terms of dress and most likely cavalier attitude, similar to men of fraternities in colleges and universities with strong Southern culture, i.e. U. of Alabama, UGA, and Ole Miss, and maybe even a school such as SMU. Regardless, this look is not lost on men of old tradition below the Mason-Dixon line!

Well, the first gentleman deleted his comment and now mine up at the top doesn't make sense. All readers, please be aware, it made perfect sense when the top comment was still around. Pity. Apparently, he took his ball and went home.
