I am again writing my post for tomorrow early because MB and I are planning another night of mischief. For the evening, I think I will wear my madras trousers (first time this year). Wearing a madras shirt, tie, or jacket is one thing, but madras trousers with a navy blazer is ultimate WASP style. Maybe, I will share some photos next week, and I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Ironically, I wore the same outfit (Madras trousers, white shirt and a blue blazer) to compensate for such a rainy day. It is the first time that I have tried it outside New England and while I was apprehensive at first, individuals actually came up to complement the outfit. You can be sure that I stuck out like a sore-thumb, yet I don’t mind attention.
I agree-madras trousers with a blazer is an excellent look-I wear mine with a summer-weght DB blazer. Madras jackets are fine too, but I'm not keen on madras shirts or ties.Keep up the good work-I'm sure you'll look smashing.
Very nice. Years were that madras was nowhere to be found except at Press, glad to see a comback of this wonderful fabric. I have worn out madras trousers (and shorts) that I can't bear to part with so now I do gardening and painting projects in them! Agree that ties can be dicey, more a Southern thing than for a Yankee such as me.
As for the ties - it depends on how loud the colors. I have a subtle pink, blue, green one which works well with a seer sucker suit - without the over kill of a full pink/red ties.
Madras trouser is for wimps -- let's try some Lilly go-to-hell pants! :-)
