When I think of shawl collar sweaters, I think of old men in their leather chairs smoking a pipe. However, one does not have to be old or smoke a pipe to wear a shawl collar sweater. Whether your shawl collar is a pullover, or a cardigan (my favorite), it can be a great additon to your wardrobe. The shawl collar can be worn with jeans, chinos, flannel, and corduroy trousers. Lands End is carrying one that I somehow like, but are not too sure about...

No pullover sweater should have a pocket, much less a buttoned flap pleated one.
