Corduroy Suits and Jackets

Credit: The Sartorialist

The photo above is of course Wes Anderson, and this is also one of my favorite shots from the Sartorialist. This photo displays a suit that is not common today, but is very elegant in my opinion. Corduroy is the perfect fall fabric, and I love everything about this shot.

I saved that shot, too! It was a few months ago, wasn't it? Love it.

Nice suit.
Creepy lookin' guy wearin' it.
Needs to wash his hair.

What in the world is Waspy or Trad or Ivy or whatever about this guy?

Have you run out of material?

Are you going to leave us soon like Hevay Tweed Jacket and Long Suffering Trad?

^ +1.

This guy looks like he just rolled out of the homeless shelter. I always look for that sized gap when trying on jakets. Douchebag!

I would have to agree with the other chaps, above. I'm a big WA fan, but this photo makes him look unwashed, small, and nerdy. Where are his shoulders? Does WA wear hornrimmed specs, play the clarinet, and listen to jazz, too? He's clearly going for the Manhattan Boho Trad look. For one thing, his hair is too long. Not WASP.
