As many of you may know, I have posted several times on the subject of slippers. In addition, you may remember my posing of the question as to whether or not they can be worn with daytime apparel outside the home. Well, as you may already know, I for one think they can be worn outside the home during the day. And, I just bought two new pair to add to my collection. The second pair has not arrived yet, but the first pair came a couple weeks ago. I will be showing them on display (on my feet) very soon!

LOOVVE 'EM!! Stubbs & Wooten, right?
beautiful slippers!!...i have a pair of Rugby slippers that are all black with one big red devil and a monogram on each shoe. I am going to wear them at my company's holiday party. This will be my first time wearing them.
Wouldn't "A Couple of New Purchases" be a bit more grammatical? Good grammar is WASPy.
splendid page! why don't you put any thing up about GANT, you should love that style. Gant it so ivy league.
Anon-
Are contractions WASPy?
I agree with Anon - not only are the clothes foolish but Richard's grammar is horrible.
Sir Ian,
I fail to detect any "contractions" in "A Couple New Purchases".
Richard, you should break out the caviar. You old rogue.
I was referring to anon's post.
Great Post! I own the same Purple Label slippers and love them. Try them with navy blazer, grey flannels and some yellow socks.
When Tom Ripley wore slippers like that, Freddie Miles knew that something had gone wrong. No matter how talented, the best Mr Ripley could do at that point was immediately recognised as cloyingly bourgeois.
Don't let those slippers turn you into a murderer, even if they do spell the death of style.

P Hudson
hahah your copy of the preppy hand-book? you are really a funny little munchkin. btw.. Ralphy Lipshitz/ ruby line is meant to replace abercrombie for the under 27 demographic, its tacky. a "wasp" wouldnt be caught dead wearing it, let alone one who is your age.
