Alright, I promise this is my last purchase of the year, and I told myself that I was just helping the struggling economy. Plus, I already have all of the presents bought for family, and why not buy myself a little something extra. I have been in the mood for a four button double breasted blazer with a crest and patch pockets, and wallah, I found one and on sale at that. I was planning to have one made at the first of the year, but I thought I would try this Ralph Lauren version. The fit of the jacket on the model, and the antiqued brass buttons is what sold me. And since I am so cheery today, why not post a little more Danielle.

Hey Richard - While this is a beautiful garment, are you not at all concerned that it is constructed (and woven) more like a double breasted cardigan than a sport coat?
Right on man, that thing is awsome! I agree with SthrnGent though, but even still I would sport it.
You can still have one made too since you are helping out the eco and all.

Judging by the high-water pants, too tight fit of everything, and sockless sneakers, that crest must be for the International Order of Dweebs.
Wasps don’t wear crests unless it’s their club’s, their school’s or their family’s.
Danielle has the best hair on the planet.
Ho ho ho Dick, you’ve outdone yourself this time. A few things that should’ve made you run in the opposite direction of this thing:
1) As Brother Tim points out, the gauche “Polo RL Club” crest is absurd. Also notice no chest pocket.
2) The girth of the arms and overall length are absurd. This will not work for a hefty adult male like you (no offense intended)
3) Note the notch lapel rather than a peak (which is correct on a DB).
Thanks for doing your part stimulating the economy. I’m sure this new “blazer” will stimulate your friends at the bath house.

is that a sweater or a blazer? it definitely looks like a sweater on the rl website. i would say the jury is still out on this item. as a sweater, i like it except the crest is a bit questionable. it could look nice, though. do post pictures once it arrives.
