My Stocking Stuffer Wish List

Stocking stuffers are one of the most exciting things to awake to on Christmas morning. They are the little extras that someone....excuse me (Santa) thought to leave behind. In my stocking this year, I imagine receiving my fruit cake, some socks for the little boy (Governor...our dog), a fancy pen, and well if I am really lucky, Danielle Fishel. Oh don't worry, Mrs. Richard knows I love her, and she has her list of Hollywood loves. Anyway, Danielle is just perfect, and I have always loved her from Topanga to her snarky but funny show The Dish.

Merry Christmas Danielle, WASP 101 loves you ;)

You don't really eat that stuff do you? If so you'd be the oly person I know of that does. I like the pen though.

Don't care what the uneducated say, Fruitcake is good!

Once again, I am out of "pop" culture and have not a clue who the cute girl happens to be....My wife would say "no" on her anyway.

Ok, this post is absurd.

1. While I wouldn’t kick this girl out of bed, I don’t think there is anything “WASP” about her. In fact, she looks rather ethnic. Time to upgrade your fantasies from the girl who gave you boners in high school.

2. WASPS love their dogs and for good reason – they retrieve game, herd sheep, etc. You have a toy pooch that you buy clothing for and reference as you would a son?!? That’s downright gay!

Girls who look like Danielle Fishel can be found anywhere and everywhere in the Southwest.

Definitely nothing special and nothing WASPy about her.

That fruitcake, however, is a true masterpiece!

Poloist12 - Yes, I love fruitcake!

DM - I never said Danielle Fishel was a WASP, or that she has any WASP like qualities. This site ocassionally references beautiful women that I like. Men who try to live in a WASP like fashion find non-WASP women attractive. I just happen to love Danielle's looks and her seemingly nice tv personality. And, showing affection for a toy dog is not an indicator of sexual preference.

Richard, I feel comfortable enough here to admit publically for the first time ever...I love fruitcake. It totally gets a bad rap. Fruitcake is good stuff.

DM said...

Fair enough, we can certainly lust for ethnics, but clearly this should never go beyond carnal pleasure/fantasy.

Please forgive me. Such treatment of animals is effeminate, flamboyant, and gaudy (read: NOT WASPy).

I am not afraid to admit that I love fruitcake.

I am so glad you love fruitcake. My husband and I both love fruitcake, too. We hope to raise our little girl with a proper love of fruitcake, as well.

As for referring to Danielle Fishel as an, "ethnic," please, DM, join the 21st Century.

Thomas,

Are you implying that because someone doesn't like fruitcake they are "uneducated"?
That was a rather ignorant statement.

Speaking of ignorant, DM, I bet you have a nice pair of Jackboots in your closet.

“Fair enough, we can certainly lust for ethnics, but clearly this should never go beyond carnal pleasure/fantasy.”

You seem to be one of those apoplectic white males, who feels that the world is only yours for the taking. Ethnic women are good for one thing, your lust. A thought I’m sure that has been passed down to you from your father’s father, and his alike.

I find it funny, and tired that racist or bigoted people as yourself are even racist against your own kind. He’s not white enough, she’s not white enough, etc. Why is it that the woman that Richard has listed here is not good enough? Is it the full lips? The plastic surgery industry, a 1.9 billion-dollar industry I might add is filled with white women who want to look like the woman that he has placed on this blog, “ethnic”.

As Zelmarific put it, you need to join the 21st century. Know this, if you have children, be very careful whom you hate, as they just might bring one home to you. May not be because they love them, but it just might be to spite you.

“Please forgive me. Such treatment of animals is effeminate, flamboyant, and gaudy (read: NOT WASPy).”

Are you also implying that ethnic people are animals? If that’s the case, I didn’t know you were into bestiality. I only say this because you are giving Richard permission, not that he needs it from you I might add, to “DO”, I wish I could have said what I wanted here, but just don’t get to involved with one, and for goodness sakes don’t get married to one.

To everyone else reading this. There are loads of ethnic, and ethnic looking woman out there who are to be respected no matter what anyone tells you. These women are what I call “Exotic” and I really don’t feel that the word ethnic applies to all these women especially the one posted on this post. The woman posted here to me looks like any other white woman I have seen. Yes she has fuller lips, however I have seen white women from Europe with full lips, does this make them any less white? I don’t think so.

We have far better things to worry about in this country then who is white and who is not. WHO CARES!
We have an economy in shambles, the Middle East wanting to kill all of us; they don’t seem to care who is white enough, or black enough in this country. If you are an American, you are an open target. When the metal hits the meat, are you really going to care who his fighting next to you? It is high time that we ALL in this country start thinking about our brother’s black and white here in this country rather then well he doesn’t look like me, so I’ll hate him.

Richard, keep posting these beautiful women, big lips, and hips, and all.

AND IF YOU THINK THAT THIS IS “UNEDUCATED” I DON’T GIVE A DAMN! No one, WASP or otherwise is going to tell me that the good values my parents instilled in me are wrong. I was taught to love everyone.

While we have only seen her from the neck to the waist, I think Mrs. Richard beats out this young gal!

Lighten up – I’m just trying to keep things interesting here since the censorship began. A series of “We love Richard” posts is not only boring, but surely spells the death of this blog.

The whole “ethnic people = animals” tangent is entirely out of line. The original quote was about Dick’s unmanly relationship with his canine. I never made any disparaging remarks about people of color.

This is typical of the unspoken double standard in America. Non-WASP (recall there is a literal interpretation of the acronym) groups have their own exclusive magazines, television stations, fraternal organizations, lobbying groups, etc. However, when a Caucasian Christian of European descent expresses pride in his race/heritage and the desire to reproduce with someone of similar background, the knee-jerk reaction is outrage and name calling – this person must certainly be a racist, bigot, Klansman, etc.

DM,

Understood about the animal statement however, I never said anything against whites taking pride in who they are. Also, you don’t think that whites have their own lobbying groups, organizations, etc? I think you may want to rethink that statement as they do. You can look into the Mason groups that are still to this very day segregated. Also, if you would like I can supply you with several “white” groups, non-racial that still does not allow black or ethnic peoples in to their little clubs.

Please take notice that these black television stations that you speak of are owned by black people. Now if you notice, Fox, ABC, NBC, etc are owned by whites and usually tend to advertise to the white masses. DM, no need to worry, your whiteness is still prevalent in the world.

My wife is of Irish decent, and shows pride in her whiteness. I too, though I am not Irish or white take pride in the fact that she is Irish. We teach our daughter about both her Irish back ground, and her Afro-American background. I have no problem with one taking pride in their ethnic group, or preferring to wed someone of their own race. I am a believer that we should keep our race/heritage. However, I am also a believer that one has the right to choose who they want to be with in life’s journey.

“when a Caucasian Christian of European descent expresses pride in his race/heritage and the desire to reproduce with someone of similar background, the knee-jerk reaction is outrage and name calling – this person must certainly be a racist, bigot, Klansman, etc.”

No, this is not why I feel that you are racist; I feel that you are racist due to your last post. Why, only a racist person, and think about this, would say such a thing, and think it was funny. A comedian will tell you that when they tell a joke, parts of it ring true to their own psyche.
So you may not think that you are a racist, however, what you have written here for “kicks” certainly is racist. No you may not wear the robe, or the jackboots, but you have the psyche.

Typical unspoken double standard. That is a laughable statement, especially coming from someone who is from the race of people in this country who makes all the rules.

If you are looking for excitement on a blog, why don’t you start your own? Boring this may have become, but it is not your blog to determine how it is written, so don’t even think you can hijack it.

Thanks, poloist12, for being so articulate. I feel the same way, but did not even know where to begin. It seems since I've been reading this blog, people have taken issue over Richard's definition of WASP or what he decides to include in his "WASP 101" blog. Most of the people who take issue with Richard posting pictures of supposedly "NON-WASP" people have completely ignored the transient nature, not only of fashion, but of people's attitudes. I, for one, feel that it is no longer necessary to be white to embody WASP fashion. It's just archaic and stupid to give one's self such strict boundaries, and of course you would miss out on some wonderful fashion!

DM,
If old WASP, Chappy Morris, can dote on, and buy clothing for his little Italian Grey Hound, then I think Richard can spoil his Dachsund in a similar manner. Mr. Morris even likes to dress his dog up for the annual Halloween parties with his WASP friends. Go for it, Richard!

I have to say, as an old WASP, there are WASP-type African Americans in this country. What I mean is, there is a substantial population of Blacks who migrated to the North during, and before the Civil War, and have established themselves as Upper-Class gentry Blacks. They have their own exclusive schools, clubs and neighborhoods. We cannot always tell who is Old Guard by their skin color any longer, and so must be sensitive to the fact that even among WASPs many people, of different races, from the right backgrounds, may become intermarried into our traditional WASP society, or may choose not to. This is the 21st century, and I am happy to see the changes.

I just took another look at Danielle Fishel's photo, and actually, I (and my husband) feel that her features are common among some Germans, who get tans on the ski slopes. If dressed accordingly, she could easily be perceived as a German, or German and Italian, aristocrat. So, again, physical features today do not always give us a clear picture of someone's social background. Basically, only one's clothes and educational background can be counted upon; though I met a WASP who gave up the lifestyle for a shrimp boat business in Louisianna...nothing WASPy about his appearance any longer. His father, however, will never set foot in the son's home, or see his grandchildren, ever. Very sad.
