So, it is the night before the Morgan escapade, and I am preparing my outfit. In addition, I found out the MB cannot drive a stick, and I guess that only leaves me to drive. Hooray! In the scheme of things it is kind of funny, and I told MB that he would have to buy a clunker car with a stick drive to learn. You don't want to practice on a Morgan for goodness sakes. Anyway, for tomorrow I am going completely "custom made from head to toe" as the Nature Boy Ric Flair always said. The glen plaid jacket, soft pink fully lined trousers, oxford cloth button down, and necktie are all custom made. The only items not are the square and a pair of vintage 1985 crocodile loafers from Ralph Lauren (recently donated to me from dear old dad).
And finally, WASP 101 will undergo some change this weekend. I am bored with the same old redundant comments from anonymous/any other haters out there. You characters feel that you somehow strangely keep my blog afloat, but I hate to tell you that you have nothing to do with it. I am a very blessed individual, and I don't need to hear or listen to such drivel. So, with that being said.....you can do you know what with all your advice and comments. What is the change....well, you will figure it out. For all the other readers out there, I really appreciate your loyal readership.

Looking forward to a cleaned-up (censored) blog, free of sick comments from idiots who think that personal attacks on Mr. and Mrs. Richard are a sign of some sort of cleverness on their part.
I would argue that the jacket is too tight and that the top button on the jacket is too high.
Having said that, the tie is magnificent!
Great combination Richard. My few constructive arguments against would be to correct your description of the erroneous 'Glen Plaid Check' to 'Glen Urquhart Check' , which is the rightful name.
Although you should know, being British, the button-down in these circumstances doesn't sit well with us across the pond!
The tie, as the post earlier suggests, truly is "magnificent", and works to literally 'tie' the elements together. Good choice of pocket square, which shows a bit of creative 'flair'.
P.S.: Please post some more on the Duke.
Not to put any pressure on you, but what about a hat and coat? That's what everyone will see when you drive a convertible!
Glad to hear you've found a solution for the tasteless comments dragging down your blog, Richard. Keep up the good work.
Thanks for taking care of the rude commenters. You don't deserve them. I figure, if they don't like your blog, they don't have to read it.
"Although you should know, being British, the button-down in these circumstances doesn't sit well with us across the pond!"
Dear Grammarians out there: Doesn't "being British" incorrectly modify "you" (i.e., Richard), rather than "us" (i.e., we Brits) in the above sentence?
Or, does, HMS think that Richard is British?
I have to agree - the hat and coat would really look great!
I hope it's warmer where you are - we're at 11 degrees here in DC. So, if you're going to drive with the top down I'd forget 'looking good' and stay warm - how about ear muffs! Ha! Something tells me you are NOT the ear-muff wearin' kind of guy!
Have fun and be safe and of course we MUST see pictures.
Dear Anonymous Would-Be Grammarian,
If anything, "being British" in HMS's comment modifies "the button
It is freezing cold here guys--a high of 20 today. I will be wearing a coat, hat, and scarf. The topcoat is camel hair, the hat is a brown herringbone tweed, and a plaid scarf. We will probably put the top down briefly, but for the most part the top will be up today.
Correction:
I seem to have pushed the "publish your comment" button to soon.
Dear Anonymous Would-Be Grammarian,
If anything, "being British" in HMS's comment modifies
"the button-down".
Sorry.
Dear Friend,
I would like to say thank you for the post that you have made on my blog. Also, just because some have felt the need to berate others on your blog, doesn’t, or didn’t mean that I would stop reading your blog.
Some may think that I am unstable, and this is fine, as my actions on your blog were of an unstable man. However, these same people do not know me in my everyday life, something I’m sure you understand.
Now that I am back to making comments on your blog, I would like to say that the outfit that you have displayed for your road trip is a very nice one. I am 100% for the blazer and Pocket Square, though I do question the choice of sock color. I give you an A for this one.
It’s good to be back.
BTW, the trousers look pink in the top photo. I know that they are white, but what gives with the photos?
Richard,
At some point, could you post a picture of the hat?
With the weather such as it is, maybe it would be helpful to postpone the drive? 20 degrees plus the wind? I hope the heater is working!
I enjoy your site very much.
Bill
It is almost 4:00 o'clock and I am freezing. With 20 degree weather and no heat.....can you believe that, I am a frozen chicken. This Morgan is nice, but it is definitely a fixer upper. Anyway, I posted comments using MB's phone --- he isn't cheap like me, he actually pays for the internet via phone.
Poloist -- The pants are a very soft pink.....you are correct, and Bill, I will do a post on hat's including the one I wore today very soon.
As someone who reads your blog daily, I will welcome any change for the better! You are a small tasteful light in a society that desperately needs one! Keep fighting the good fight!!
Richard, you gotta check out a website,

style , The Fedora Lounge .com
You'll all love it!!!!!!!!
I apologise for I have made a grammatical error, but in fact a point of argument would be that the button-down is actually British - although that was not what I meant. I was simply saying that Richard's ensemble was impeccable apart from the button-down, which does not sit well with us 'across the pond' when worn with a tie, as this is an informal, sporting item of clothing made to look formal in his ensemble.
Another point I'd like to add, although aesthetically very pleasing, British cars were never the most reliable, watch out the Morgan doesn't break down on you guys, and Richard, do post some more on the Duke please...
I still love the winter "cream" trousers. I finally found a pair that fit at my local "men's store."
The only problem it is so bloody hot down here I can't wear the tweed jacket with it very often. It was 74F today.
Thomas,
I somehow deleted your second comment by mistake. It was certainly welcome, and I do apologize. Feel free to leave it again if you wish.
Great outfit, Richard. I love the sport jacket. It looks familiar, but I can't place it.
Test one two
Constructive criticism. Pants too baggy again. Jacket too short by an inch or so, unless it's an intentional Thom Browne. Clothing selection, A+, Tailoring job B-. Good for you for having the nerve to put it out on the web.
