This jacket pattern has always fascinated me, and I am considering making a purchase from J Press to acquire it. I am not sure where the desire originated, until I stumbled upon a photo I have posted on this blog before. Yes, I have always desired this outfit pictured below, and I own all the necessary pieces, minus the jacket. Should I, or shouldn't I....that is the question.

Of course you should.
I just bought a tweedy green herringbone sack from J. Press and love it. If you like this windowpane, get it. I also liked the pattern on your houndstooth, but you're right. It's not a true sack. They're getting harder to find and I'm afraid that Brooks Bros. has gone to the dark side on that score.
Richie ol boy, I think you need something a bit coarser for that look. I would take a look at the Carron cloth tweed at Bookster (tweed-jacket.com) and see if they can do a jacket in an American cut. It would be cheaper than Press also. I have no experience with Bookster, but they look good.
Love this jacket. Go for it.
The other picture reminds me of that guy Worthington that you created in the past to liven up things. Will you bring his character back or perhaps introduce a new one?
this picture is Worthington's profile picture, and I did not create Worthington....he is real.
Buy the jacket, you'll enjoy it...
You can tell us the truth, Richard. Worthington isn't real. And you haven't been taking your medication.
Go for it. And for the record, that is a photo of my chum Toby.
Yes, ol' Worthington is a worthy lad.
Please give him my regards.
Hmmmm. Press seems to be trying to get in on the Andover-Shop look. You might want to give them a look first. Pricey, but high quality.
Also, if you're thinking about a British hacking jacket and don't want the hassle of an over-seas order, you might consider Brook Brother's coat -- looks like the real deal.
Since you and Worthington are good friends, why not post a picture of the two of you side-by-side in appropriate WASPy clothing (heads cut off for privacy, of course)?
He must stop by your house often enough to get this shot online pretty quickly.
Or, perhaps do the picture at the country club or other cool hangout?
It'll never go out of style and you will wear it into your dotage.
