Personally, I know very little information to share about Le Corbusier, but that does not prohibit us from celebrating his style. Le Corbusier was in fact a famous architect if I am not mistaken, but he was also well known for his bow ties and thick framed glasses. The photo below also demonstrates that he picked up this particular style as a young man, and obviously carried it throughout his life. Mr. Le Corbusier is certainly an inspiration, and someone that is worthy of emulation.

This reminds me of the first "Brideshead Revisted" post, in which the point of the post was to announce to the world something that intrigues you for surface style reasons, but which you know nothing about.
Alas, the haters have returned. Welcome back!
"Le Corbusier was in fact a famous architect if I am not mistaken..."???
Would hurt to do some basic background research on your topics?
I don't hate you. I just don't get it sometimes.
How superficial and ridiculous can you be?
I am sorry, but you show great identity insecurity ...
In a "real" WASP University you wiil be transformed in "purée" ...
I hope the support staff in your "business" provides you with good proofreading and editing.
Le Corbusier was not know for his bow ties. Search high and low and you will not find anyone who thinks to capture the essence of Le Corbusier by commenting on his choice of bow tie. Except, of course, someone as woefully uneducated on the subject as yourself.
You will, if you take the time to do a little research before rushing to impress people with all that you don't know, find that Le Corbusier was a famous and influential architect know for his modernist principles. Many architects in practice today owe their own theories on architecture to a careful and reverental study of the writings and the works of Le Corbusier who ranks in the whos who of architects with the likes of Wright, Mies van der Rohe, Aalto, and Saarinen. (Look them up as well, Richard. You can probably find pictures of each wearing bow ties which I am sure is their defining mark as well.)
And so with Le Corbusier as with your posting on clothes and anything else you chose to discuss, you demonstrate the degree to which you don't get it and don't even try. You really should take the time to study and to understand. Otherwise you are no different than the pop star wannabe Mariah Carey who upon seeing photos of starving children in Africa said..."I don't like the flys and all, but I wish I were that skinny."
How shallow, superfical and stupid do you aspire to be Richard?
The last photo is what Maxmimus (ADG) will look like when he's 80. Still handsome, I might add...
The only WASPy thing about Richard is his philistinism.
I think it is important to point out that Le Corbusier is not respected as an architect who knew anything about cities and it is an insult (often justified) to an individual building or large real estate project to say that it is "inspired by Le Corbusier."
Le Corbusier stands for much of what is wrong with American cities and (especially) suburbs -- isolated towers set among large lawns and plazas. As well, his glasses are a running joke among people who spend time with architects.
Admire him at your own risk.
Okay, go back and re-read the post. Didn't Richard say he didn't know much about this dude? He admired his style. Period. Isn't this really what the blog is about? Personal style and the fact that Richard enjoys the WASP style.
btw...that isn't le corbusier in the second picture, the chandigarh hand sculpture gives it away, corbu finished that project in his late 60's, if anything it looks like a young i.m. pei
ARE YOU PEOPLE NUTS??? READ THE DAMN POST FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH AND MOVE ON!
