My New Kicks Arrived

My new brown velvet shoes from Stubbs & Wootton arrived, and my new Cole Haan suede bit loafers followed the next day. I was nervous about the S&W's, but was pleasantly surprised that the size 9 worked. I normally wear a 10 D in most shoes, but the 9 was a perfect fit.

I broke in the S&W slippers today, and I paired them with Brooks Brothers tweed and Polo plain front trousers with 2 inch cuffs. In addition, I wore a blue OCBD and olive green knit tie.

My Boo is ready for Halloween......

The shoes are fabulous. My heart fluttered over your puppy though. We had a mini dach for 14 years. Ah, how I miss her.

Shoes look great. The S&W embroidered logos are always a tad too large for my eye. Must be colder up there than in DC based on what you are wearing these days.

Take a look at Stubbs & Wootton's website, and you can find a similar design.

The S&W's are on point for the season. To know they run 1.5 sizes big is appreciated.

They actually run a size large. I wear a size 10 normally. A 9 1/2 would probably fit as well, but the 9 is perfect.

Re: the S&W loafers . . . can anyone else confirm that they indeed do run that big? I have always had my eye on a pair to add to the line-up but don't want to but the wrong size. I am a 12.5/13 depending so it sounds like I could get away with an 11.5 or so. Does this sound right?
Richard, by the way, LOVE the logo you chose in your loafers!

I am staggered at this site. I have worked in the clothing retail field for over twenty years now and never have I come across this type of detail. You think you have an idea, a sole, all-by-myself-idea. Now I cannot believe there other people of the same mind out there. Staggered at the connections to all things you believe you thought were cool, even when friends mocked your ideas. All the random thoughts about variouse items of clothing, colours, textures, people and styles. Why you watched The Sting so many times and why you thing Ralph Lauren rules. Barely scratched the surface after seeing this site. Amazed, astounded and suprised. Please never stop posting.

Just goes to show you one man's treasure is everyone else's trash.

Great taste in shoes, especially the suede loafers. Even better dog!

S&W is also now doing custom work. I thought about getting a pair, but I think I may stick with S&H, as they are much better on my wallet. And the designs are a tad large for my taste.

OH, and one other thing. The grossgrains in the red, yellow and blue that S&W has on their site are choice, but I don't think I could pull it off.

Kicks? Kicks?! What are you, a teenager? You've got great style in clothes; now, to match your words to what you wear.

It was a joke! I never use the word kicks in my daily vocabulary.
