Pipe Smoking Experience!

Today was kind of a groggy today in my neck of the woods, but all did come together this afternoon when I lit the ol' pipe up for a smoke. I did so while curled up on my leather sofa in the library, and I just took a moment to reflect. Yes, I have discussed pipe smoking on the blog before, but today, I think I may have had a special pipe smoking experience (and yes, I was smoking pipe tobacco). My mind was taken to a special place of peace and serenity and for a split moment, I felt that I had all figured out.

During this experience, I was wearing my new J Press corduroy sport coat (sack fit 3/2 roll, natural shoulder), and my new J Press trousers made of denim. And yes, my photographer was on strike today, so I had to make do with the photographs. To spice up the golden sportie, I added a pink Brooks Brothers OCBD (the original kind, not the non-iron kind), and a plaid tie. Plus, I truly recommend the trousers made of denim from Press. They are cut just like dress trousers, but they are made of a super light and soft denim.

I'd recommend a more conservative approach to colour-mixing. That outfit is a little bit too much for me, especially the tie.

I wish the Mrs would let me smoke in the house still on cold damp days. The jacket looks great with the denim.

This is the least retarded attempt to make non-jean pants out of denim that I've seen yet.

I'd have used a shirt of a color from the tie (yellow, blue, green) but the pink works well too.

Doesn't this camera have a timer? These bathroom mirror photos that iGents love are so friggin MySpace! :(

Shoes = Polo

Yes, the jeans are cuffed, but again, they are cut in a dress trouser style.

I smoked some Captain Black I had and needed to rid myself off. Cheap tobacco!
