As many of you know, I am somewhat interested in politics, but I do try to refrain from expressing my political opinions on this blog. The reason for this being that I don't want this blog to become a political conversation piece, and to retain its focus on the WASP lifestyle. However, the subject matter for this post though political is directly associated with the classic style we all love.
First, let's talk about Tucker. Tucker is a famous political analysts that once wore a bow tie, and he is currently most famous for his libertarian approach to government. In the world of blue suits and red ties, Tucker stands out because he never let the Ivy League style go as he graduated from college. Tucker is seen often in his J Press blazers and sport coats, and he has always sported his fratty side part. Tucker is also an avid cigar smoker, and I too share this passion with him though I only smoke a dozen or so in a given year.
In the article from which I found these photos, Tucker discusses our country's obsession to destroy tobacco and he touches on the subject of tobacco being banned in the home. Personally, I agree with Tucker and I find this war being waged on tobacco disgusting. Sure, tobacco is not good for us, but neither is 99% of the things we consume on a daily basis. I could expand on my argument, but I will stop here and say to Tucker; I salute your style and defense of the old leaf that our country was founded on.

I'm actually not sure if Tucker Carlson actually graduated from Trinity College. If not, his style hasn't either.
Tucker I miss the bow ties.
As an avid cigar smoker I couldn't agree more with Tucker that it should be eery adults choice.
Tucker did not graduate from Trinity, though he is often counted among our alumni.
What a great post. This guy is always decked out. There is a cigar bar down the street from me that is total trad....
It's pretty obvious that he's not a real cigar smoker. Lighting is done by gradual singing of the cigar, not torching it up in a big fireball.
Also, it looks like he's using a wick lighter instead of butane. Way to ruin a cigar's flavor, Tucko!
Even worse than Tucker's libertarian politics, is the absence of candle and sliver of cedar.
Yes, I miss the bow ties but Tucker always has great hair. Alas, his dancing on DWTS was horrendous. Someone's mommy did not take them to dance lessons...(yes, I tuned in just to see Tucker)...
99% of the things we consume on a daily basis aren't good for us? Hmmm...
