Most men are truly simple creatures. Especially, us so called ego driven men. We envision ourselves as Hugh Hefner's (not a hero of mine), and we crave the finer things in life: cars, clothes, tobacco, and a good strong drink. As the so called resort season is upon us, I prefer to reminisce in the luxuries of the bone chilling cold wrapped in my tweed. I dream of pretty ladies, fast vintage cars, and finding the perfect smoke (LBT - you are correct about Cherry Cavendish). This weekend, a friend of mine is showing up with his convertible and we are going to have a boys day. No, his car isn't a 1955 Jag, but it is a convertible. I plan to wrap myself in in my polo overcoat, tweed hat, and imagine that one of Hugh's bunnies is beside me instead of his ugly rear-end. Yes, us WASPy men are simple creatures.

Cherry cavendish is all very well (it ghas a great "Room Aroma" as we say) but it can burn a little bit hot, resulting in "tongue bite".
I recommend Old Judge from James Barber (probably the best pipe shop on the planet).

This combines a pleasant room aroma with a distinct lack of bite. It's a wee bitty stronger too.

Hef has done more for Constitutional freedom of speech than any other American publisher of the last hundred years. Think about that. I know that he and Trump and a few other older guys seem to have "age issues" (we can't get inside their heads) when it comes to relationships, but all publishers, even bloggers, owe Hugh Hefner a great deal. And Playboy changed the face of publishing - not just its boobs.
Rich....you're women schizoid side is showing again....Vera isn't remotely Bunnyish.....they were all shapely chicks as I recall and as is confirmed by your photo ref ...btw the BB pic is not very waspy.....very wall streety perhaps, but not really very waspy(it's actually a rather RL vision of what constitutes typical W attire).
Truly simple creatures wear jeans and t-shirts, drink beer and drive some truck home to watch American Idol. Their tobacco is chewn or some mass-market domestic cigarette lit by a disposable lighter. Their dreamgirls are augmented bottle blonds with bad ink (redundant, I know).
Slight hedonism is tolerable; WASPs are not pure ascetics. But the culture is leaps and bounds more complex and sophisticated than the base vulgarity of the average American Joe.
