The Return of Worthington

Photo: Thanks ADG

Yes, our dear friend Worthington has agreed to return to WASP 101, and he will be providing one or two posts a month for our viewing pleasure. I disabled Worthington as an author several months ago due to his lack of interest, but he is revived and ready to go. He plans to e-mail me his stories and pictures, and I will place his name in the title to note his work. And, if you are asking why I am posting this picture of Flusser, it is simple. Worthington reminds me a lot of Flusser in this picture, and he encouraged and convinced me to buy a tattersal vest just like the one Flusser is wearing in this photo. Why not, I already own a tattersal sport coat, so why not a vest. Anyway, I am glad Worthington is coming back!

Thank you so much for your sweet comment. It's lovely to hear such kind encouraging words from total strangers, haha. And, I thoroughly enjoyed reading through your blog as well!

This is great news. I enjoyed his opposing opinion, even if many suspected he was an alter ego.

Please actually follow through on this talk of tattersall vests. They are an item that I like but am rather confused as to how to properly wear them. Worthington may care a bit more about the 'rules' than you Richard, so he would prove more helpful to me on this topic.

Your reading public welcomes the return of your alter-ago!!

Will there be any pictures of the two of you standing together by the fireplace? Or at the club?

Yes, please. We would all love to see photos. I don't know about the rest of your readers, but I can hardly wait for the return of Worthington. How terribly, terribly exciting.

Now I'll have to ring all of my friends who quit reading the blog and let them know that the amazing Worthington has returned.

I have been casually viewing your blog for a while and I have a question that maybe you would be able to answer. I am getting married this Summer and I want to buy my own tuxedo. Along with that, I also want to buy a proper waistcoat. The only options out there now seems to either be a fullback, high-cut vest, or a backless vest - if you want a low-cut.

The older waistcoats had a full back, low-cut, and buttons at the bottom. I have seen a rare few after months of searching for them online. Any suggestions you might have as to where one may find a proper waistcoat for a tuxedo would be very much appreciated. A good example of what I am talking about appears on the introduction page to the Ralph Lauren Purple Label web site (http://www.ralphlauren.com/shop/index.jsp?categoryId=2885938&cp=2885938&ab=int_022310_MLP_PURPLECARD_SHOPNOW). I also like the look of a larger, vintage, velvet bow-tie - if you happen to know anything about them, as well.
