Lilly Pulitzer clothing is a sure fire way to brighten up a busy dreary day. And today, I wore my one and only Lilly item, my bright yellow mini wale cords. Now, even though Lilly is certainly WASPy, most of her items should only be worn at the resort or while on vacation. And though I admire some of the brands bright flowery trousers, I could never pull those off. The only male that I have ever seen wear those to perfection is TinTin at The Trad. Anyway, my bright yellow cords is as far as I can go at the moment with Lilly, but she is a WASP institution.

Beautiful cords! Well done. I was just looking at some Lilly Pulitzer ties, polo shirt, and board shorts and plan to pull the trigger.

I know that picture of Tintin well. His rig below the waist is quite questionable- above the waist, well executed. Probably the only reason I'd cut him some slack is that before I saw this pic, I already had decided he was a likable guy. But if I didn't know him, I'd think that he was just a douchey Baldwin brother.
I must agree with Old Tweed. Those shoes are a lost cause that can do nothing but ruin any ensemble.
You do seem to understand the 'Go to hell' technique of only one loudly colored item.

Nice cords. Steer clear of the prints, lest you want to look like the moron that "Tintin" is. Douchey Baldwin brother? He wishes he were.
