The Red Coats Are Coming

This is a jacket that is not for the faint of heart. But, it dresses up nicely with khaki trousers or gray flannels. However, I was feeling abundantly casual this morning and I threw it on with some jeans and a different yellow OCBD.

The jacket is a cashmere blend and it is equipped with brass buttons. I like it, but many don't. Who cares!

Very slimming outfit.

I think it's fantastic, even with the jeans.

This coat and the previous shirt tie combo really have me doubting you anymore.

It's not even April fools yet!

You know what would look good? A light-weight sport coat in pink. The Brethren are carrying one this season, in a linen, silk, and wool blend. I saw one in person yesterday. I have a sack version in tan.

Might I humbly suggest that you try that jacket with a blue of white shirt, instead of the yellow?

Save that yellow shirt for wearing with brown tweed jackets.

I have a pink seersucker sport coat from the Brethern, and I will debut it soon.

Red jacket with a yellow shirt? You look like Ronald McDonald dressed like a Shriner. Terrible.

Red sport coat is a great addition to line-up....has many possible pairings for many situations. Festive, fun etc. Looks good w/ jeans.
However, I must throw in with Dutch Uncle and "86" the yellow shirt....it just does not work with the Red.

"Lawn Jockey" see, I can say it? Is it normally hard to say? I don't understand.
I once shot a guy with his lawn jockey. I ground it up and melted it down and made bullets out of it and shot him in the thigh 8 times. I did paint the bullets with little red jackets so they looked like little Lawn Jockeys before I shot him, but I couldn't quite get the hat right so I left it off. Oh the irony!
Anyway, I feel bad about it now, but at the time I was really miffed.

I like the jacket. I'd probably do a blue or white shirt also.

Who made it?

Brooks Brothers Country Club is the maker.

I can only agree with those who have suggested that this jacket be worn with a white or a blue shirt.

Do try it.

Jacket is great. Again, ditch the yellow shirts.

I also purchased a Brooks Brother sport coat in red. Prefer to wear a white, blue or even a glen-plaid or stripe shirt (blue) to tone down the brashness of the red.

I purchased a red BB sport coat as well. Prefer to pair it with with a blue shirt to tone down the brashness of the red. Nice pic.
