Tough Transition Days

- J Press Suit
- Ralph Lauren Shirt
- Brooks Bros. Tie
- Brooks Shoes
- Brooks Bros. Pocket Square

As we move into the fall season, the transition days make it difficult to dress. Tweed and cords are far too heavy, and seersucker and cream linens have been placed into storage. My suggestion is to wear a suit like the one pictured above. Charcoal in a four season weight is a great suit to own, and one must rely on these four season fabrics in transition days. Just my two cents worth.

Plus, a lovely photo of Mrs. Richard!

Suit/shirt /tie combo very nice....once again you miss on the shoes.

Not bad, but a mid-weight wool blazer might work too. Or even a navy blazer in tropical weight worsted or linen. The lady, of course, is the epitome of elegance.

To 'Main Line Sportsman': I've given up on Richard's choice of shoes. Bit loafers with Breton Reds? His refusal to wear black shoes? Sometimes he just makes me cranky....or crankier.

I hate black shoes...plain and simple. Plus, the Duke made it ok to wear suede with charcoal and navy.

The Duke of Windsor was a spineless twit.

Which Duke Richard?? John Wayne or David Windsor? Both had a thing with suede shoes!!

Which Duke Richard? John Wayne or David Windsor. Both had a strange preference for sued shoes.

You aren't the duke.

The shot of Mrs. Richard was cut off just where it gets interesting!

Great shirt.
Great tie.

Clashing combo: The tie is too busy for a striped shirt

loafers with a suit is a no-no. Those are casual shoes - wear proper lace-ups with a suit and save the loafers for a blazer or sportcoat
