Brooks Oxford Cloth Button-Down Extra Slim Fit Revealed

Let me begin by saying that I actually love the extra slim fit shirts by Brooks Brothers, and the ladies love them too! I paired this outfit with a navy flannel 3/2roll blazer from J Press, but I removed the coat to display the fit. In fact, I removed the coat all day to garner responses from the general public.

The class of people who loved the shirt the most were the ladies, but particularly ladies 35 and up. I had three meetings today with potential clients, and all of the meetings took place in upscale bars. In all three establishments, I was presented with drinks sent over from another lady. The cougars were on the prowl today, and I can't help but think the shirt played a role.

Regardless, upon returning home, the only lady that I allow to get my engine running was ready to go when she saw her husband in his athletic fitting shirt. It was a good day.

Apparrel:

-3/2 Roll J Press Blazer in Flannel (not shown)
-Olive Tweed Flat Front Trousers with 1 3/4 inch cuff, from Polo
-Brooks Extra Slim Fit OCBD that is not the non-iron variety
-Cole Haan Tobacco Suede Bit Loafer
-Bow Tie, Rugby Ralph Lauren

Smoking A Pipe & Watching Gossip Girl

I love the week of Thanksgiving because it is a subtle reminder that relaxing moments are coming. I just finished an exhausting political season with much success, but I will not take all the credit since this was a tidal wave year. And to begin a relaxing week, I am sitting here tonight watching a re-run of Gossip Girl and smoking a cherry cavendish tobacco in the pipe. What better way to relax than looking at aspiring preppy girls, watching hedonists Chuck Bass operate, and puffing on the pipe. Now, if my wife would just walk through the room naked, it would be a good night.

I'm Back!

Well, it is good to be back, and to start things off, I am going to divulge and reveal a hidden treasure in NC. Garland, NC is the location of a Brooks Brothers Outlet where a large apparel of men's and women's clothing can be purchased for insane prices. The stock is mostly overstock and samples with some seconds in the mix. Recently, I traveled there and purchased three sportcoats, four oxford cloth button downs (blue, yellow, and ecru....real-kind....not the non-iron kind), and one tie. All of these items cost less than $300, and they are exquisite. Two of the sport coats are pictured below with one being a Harris tweed, and the other is the fourth one from the left hanging in one of my closets (brown 3/2 roll donegal tweed). Also pictured are some of the shirts I purchased in slim fit and extra slim fit. Yes, I purchased an extra slim fit OCBD for $17 to try it, and I actually love it. It has all the traditional features, but with a lot less cloth and though I was skeptical, I do infact love it. Alright, I will be back sometime tomorrow!

Hilfiger Holiday Ad

I will make my official return on Monday, but for now, I want to leave you with this interesting new holiday ad by Tommy Hilfiger. I must say I am impressed, and I had honestly forgotten all about Mr. Hilfiger.

So enjoy, and get ready for a lot of fun between now and Christmas. I will show you items I picked up in Garland, NC (Brooks Brothers Factory Outlet). In addition, I will review my trip to Washington D.C., list my 2010 top blogs, and much, much more. Until then..... Aw heck, enjoy one more Hilfiger video.
