Headbands- by Kipp

The headband is a preppy essential. Personally, I am truly addicted to these functional and beautiful accessories. My collection of headbands grows constantly and as with most everything else in life, you can never have too many! A headband can instantly add a touch of femininity and polish to any outfit. I dare say that there isn't an ensemble that wouldn't benefit with the addition of a simple satin headband.

Although recently brought back to popularity for the masses by the lovely Blair Waldorf, this accessory has never been forgotten by those of us with classic style. J.Crew and Ralph Lauren always offer a variety of headband classics, but do not be afraid to try a larger bow or flower. Every lady should have at minimum a tortoise shell and a red satin headband. Just a warning, these timeless pieces have a tendency of driving the boys wild as well!

Different alter egos....same syntax and grammar mistakes.

Cranky,

First, if you can't tell that Crawford is infact a different person from the photo he published, then you have issues.

Second, when Eleanor posts pictures of herself, you will see that she is a girl.

Finally, I hope you are an English teacher since you are apparently a master of the Queen's English.

Some ladies - including Britain's Queen - opt for the Hermes scarf, but that presumes that some of us gentlemen are willing to foot the bill. With the Great Recession I haven't done so for a few years but I'll be making a pilgrimage to Hermes this December.

Sure drives me wild

Richard, what photo of Crawford are you referring to? I don't ever recall seeing any photos of him on this site.

If you're using guest bloggers, why don't their posts link back to their blogs? I thought the point of guest bloggers was to drive traffic from a larger well known blog (like WASP101) to a smaller lesser known one and help new bloggers establish themselves and build up a following.

First, Crawford and Kipp are not guest bloggers, but rather, contributors. Also, Crawford posted a picture of himself in his home wearing madras trousers. He is way shorter and smaller than me, and that is obvious by the photo.

Second, Kipp will be posting pictures of herself soon, and let's see if you stick to your silly claims then.

Finally, all you unkind trolls out there.....leave this blog, just leave. I will never post your crap that you leave for moderation.

I went back and checked the photo that you are referring to. I must say that he has a very similar stance and build as you. Not convinced, but I would never accuse someone of being a liar without absolute proof. What I did find interesting from the photo was that you and Crawford share a lot of the same furniture and nick knacks. That's probably just a coincidence, though.

Anonymous,
It's true, scarves can make excellent headbands. However, I am reserving at least an entire post about my favorite accessory. Hermès will of course be given its place of honor soon as well!

Thank goodness! I forgot that Richard had incorporated a 'girl' writer into the mix and I thought Richard has switched on us, until I got to the end.

Nice article, Kipp and I look forward to hearing more from you.

C'mon. Is it so difficult for some of you gents to believe that Richard might have friends who contribute to this blog, and that Crawford might have been photographed by Richard in his (Richard's) home? What's so incredible here? Why are you complaining? Let's stay on topic.

"Ignore the man behind the curtain!"

Actually embedded data in the photos indicates that Crawford is using a different camera than Richard, so that's strong evidence he is real. Kipp remains to be seen (no pun intended).

This article implies that only women can wear hairbands.

Headbands are lovely, as are bows in general. :)

The bow looks like something Shirley Temple would have worn.
