Individual items are okay but, generally speaking, most of Tommy's line just doesn't work for anybody over 30. Forgive my dogmatism here.
Another factor is the sizing - all slim. Some of us actually lift weights, so our arms are thicker than 14 inches and our thighs are more than 20 inches around. Hilfiger's stores and displays remind me of the boys' department in Brooks. Little boys, that is.
How many reading this can even take these clothes seriously except as imitations of what we adults wore when we were 15?
Does anybody remember that crummy reality show several years back on CBS where aspiring designers competed, Apprentice-style, to do a diffusion line for Tommy Hilfiger? Some ghetto-tweed loving kid won, and I never heard from him again. Or the show.
