Today, I was a bad little boy and I made two purchases that I should have avoided. However, I cannot wait to pick up my garments when alterations are complete! What are my garments you may be asking? The answer is the most exquisite moleskin trousers I have ever seen and a Harris Tweed sport coat from Brooks Brothers in the Fitzgerald cut. I already have the trousers due to their perfect off the rack fit, and I am having the sleeves slightly shortened on the jacket. Actually, both items look marvelous in unison, and I will definitely do a post to display them soon. I am without question a huge fan of both moleskin trousers and Harris Tweed Jackets. More to come......

Looking forward to it Richard :)
Buying clothes doesn't make you a bad boy, Richard. However, if you had a romp with Kipp in the dressing room, that might. Did you?
Good Autumn alternative to wide-wale corduroy, which is also very nice. The goldish colour is good too. kind of dark khaki that goes with almost anything.
Why a Fitzgerald (named for JFK) cut? It's two button and darted. I thought that you worshiped at the altar of the three button sack.
Isn't the Fitzgerald cut for slimmer builds?
Yes Cranky, I do love the 3/2 roll sack and I own many. However, I think that a natural shoulder is the most important factor, and in today's world, 3/2 roll jackets are hard to find. The fabric of the coat I purchased is wonderful, but it does fit like a glove.
And yes, the Fitzgerald cut is for slimmer builds, which I am. Maybe the camera doesn't show it, but I am as skinny as a rail.
I must say that I am somewhat upset that you were able to find the exact trousers I have been looking for (in the same color). I knew I should have headed to the new fourth floor in Brooks............. Its their fault... the catalogues they currently send are designed for the under 25 crowd.. you know who I mean..the exact people who rarely shop BB... I need to get those trousers!
Where in BB did you find the mo;eskin trousers?
I find it impossible to wear authentic Harris Tweed jackets in the U.S., where houses and offices are so much better heated than in the U.K.
Good story bro
Where do they find moles large enough to make trousers out of their skins?
you are, without question, a bad boy...just kidding, enjoy the blasted threads
Fine trousers to pair with a Tweed jacket, sturdy brogues, country shirt, pipe, and large glass of whisky...
Headington makes a good point. And think about southern Europe and the southern US where there's scarcely any bloody winter! Harris tweed indeed!
