Well, it finally arrived, and I couldn't be happier! The jacket is absolutely perfect, but I can honestly say it is tough to wear. The image above looks appropriate, but I do look like I just walked off the campus of a prepatory school (not sure that's a good thing). I guess that is why they called it a prep school blazer. However, I think the jacket would look great at university parties or even a regatta. In addition, the jacket would look more appropriate for adults with jeans or khakis, and ditching the tie. The yellow piping is very loud, and one could easily go wild with this jacket. So, be forgiving.....more to come!

Holy Moses.
I do not think one can pull it off if over 25...you are correct...it just screams schoolboy.
I am quite the fan!
I think you've got the right idea of where to actually be seen wearing this. Luckily the length looks right and not fruity short.
I always like three buttons on the sleeve, but the keyhole buttonhole on the lapel is odd. It's hard to tell, but I'm hoping the cloth has some texture and the color is not too stark.
Richard,
Now you're ready for the next Henley Regatta or the test matches a Lords! I'd start booking your flight now!
PS You'll need a straw boater for that jacket or cricket cap!
“... but I do look like I just walked off the campus of a prepatory (sic) school.” No kidding. If anyone had worn this when I was in boarding school, he would have been laughed off of campus.
Richard,
With all due respect...
You must have alot of extra cash. I don't imagine this jacket was a bargain. Where are you going to wear this and be taken seriously? But then again if this is how you want to spend your money God bless you.
Yes, I know its none of my business.
It looks good with the tie...it doesn't look good with the trousers (but it might be the photo...because gray flannel would be the perfect match)...so enjoy wearing this..but stay away from the prep school..you might get detention
I am number 2....you are Number 6
Uhh... probably running into a fairly limited appreciation for this costume at most theme parks of life. Hope you enjoy it. Who knows, maybe it will catch on. Somewhere.
I suppose it's better in theory.
Richard,
You'd have been better off getting a fun smoking jacket instead, the schoolboy blazer is age specific not to many adults over the age of 21 can carry it off.
When we were away at school, we couldn't *wait* to get *out* of the uniforms. I'm just wondering why anyone would want to dress back in them?
Too True about 'wanting to get out' of prep school attire at the time.
However, I too find myself pining for my old Episcopal Academy school sweater - Navy with White stripes, of course - along with my old school ties.
Therefore, I say, wear your new find with all the 'snarky pride' you can muster.
Wasp On!
Well I think it looks quite dashing on you, Richard. Hopefully you can post more images of the jacket with other items. The only thing I disapprove of is the angle in which you shot the images. If you could, I would ask for the big picture image of the outfit, to better illustrate the jacket, other than that, I really like the jacket. So Adorable.
