I never need an excuse to head in to the city, but this Christmas my best friend came in for a visit from her home in Provence. Our schedules rarely overlap so it was nice to spend the holiday together.
She and I both share a love of the finer things in life and our trip left nothing to be desired. There is something about spending an afternoon strolling on Madison Avenue with a great friend, shopping at some of the most incredible stores in the world and indulging in our favorite Ladurée macarons, that can make everything else in the world just disappear.

I'm not big on metallic footwear or black clothing in general, but the herringbone is quite nice as it the red coat and pearls.
Has this site ever tackled the black clothing controversy?
