Perfect Hair

I always thought the kid on the left had perfect hair in this photograph, and I am thinking about letting my hair grow out a bit to achieve this look. I already have the swoop action, but not quite the length. Just a thought!

Club Collars

Club collars are very WASPy, but a better description might be Ivy League. I absolutely love the handful that I own, and I am thinking of having three or four club collar shirts made at Brooks in oxford cloth. In addition, I am thinking of experimenting with one of the shirts by having a button down stance placed on the collar as pictured above. What are your thoughts?

Tennis Sweater Under A Blazer

Another classic approach to mixing up the blazer is by adding a tennis or cricket sweater underneath. However, this look can be tricky because most tennis sweaters carry a lot of girth. Personally, I think you can create the best look and solve the problem by just leaving the jacket unbuttoned.

Dusting Off My Suit Of Armor

Credit: Ralph Lauren

Unfortunately, allergy season and warmer weather is on the way. Therefore, I am wearing my winter tweed as often as possible, but I am already preparing my spring wardrobe. During this preparation, I must dust off my spring/summer weight navy blazer which I live in during these months. However, it can be challenging to keep the ol' boy looking fresh, and one suggestion I have is a red stripe shirt with a yellow bow tie or tie. In my opinion, red and yellow is a great combination to mix with navy. So go out and grab yourself a good suit of armor, and be sure to try some new combinations with it this spring.

My Apologies For Not Posting

Like most people, I have a job that pays my bills and helps keep me stocked classic clothes. Unfortunately for readers, I have taken on the largest client I have ever acquired, and it comes with a price. The price is big clients demand long hours.

I will be posting most every weekend, but I am determined to revamp my schedule and continue posting weekdays. This blog is truly an outlet for me, and I enjoy this part of my life. I do appreciate your patience, and I promise to do better soon. If I could just sell a blasted ad or two, I might be able to shut down the PR business :) Anyway relax, squeeze a beautiful woman, and grab you a pipe and enjoy a smoke.....It's the WASPy thing to do!
