An Almost Perfect Combination ~by Kipp

A plaid skirt and a white blouse with a black bow is probably one of the most classic combinations for women. It is simple, elegant, and can be drastically altered by accessories and by the choice of shoe. I am not a huge fan of this girl's bag or the shade of her heels but the skirt and blouse combination is perfect. I would recommend a pair of oxford heels to complete the look. They are another stolen from the boys item, but with the feminine addition of a heel.

top half is great, but agree that the shoes do not fit.

My eyes will never tire of seeing ladies dressed as such...

Classic. Elegant. Simple. Sexy.

The young lady is a tad too thin for my taste, but better than the model in Richard's Preppy Girl Theatre. That's for sure.

The whole plaid/tartan skirt thing has all kinds of manifestations, not all of them excessively preppy. Some are much more stylish than the pre-1968 Ivy League look. A white blouse or solid colour sweater serves as a complement and backdrop. Patterns or bright shades would be too much.

I've said - and repeat it now - that being able to "work" a short skirt all depends on the lady's legs. Shape and length as much as size. A question of genetics here, because huge or too-narrow calves are tough to correct through exercise.

I think the shoes are superb. And her legs. And the skirt. It works for me. :-)
