Everytime I wear a knit tie (striped or not), I always get some astonishing comment. Is that tie made of a sock? What kind of tie is that? Regardless, I find them beautiful and highly appropriate with a navy blazer. Some of my favorites are striped knits, navy solid, and yellow solid knits. Don't worry about the silly questions, they just don't understand that you are the best thing going today!

the knit tie is one of the most fun items to wear...wheather its solid (only red, yellow, or navy) or a stripe (really any color but blue/yellow or blue green work best).. this is just fun to wear. I have several and always some wiseguy asks "why did you cut the bottom of your tie off'? Its the joy of knowing that the wiseguy doesn't have a clue in the world!!!
The knit tie I first remember my father wearing was solid black, he wore it for a year following JFK's assassination. While I am fond of every one I have ever seen or worn (believing the fun should not be exclusive to men), I always harken back to the first one.
