Finally, it is cold! Has winter actually arrived? We here at WASP 101 sure hope so because we are excited to finally get the opportunity to break out our winter best. And of course, when it is cold as a wiz outside, it is time to break out the shaggy dog sweaters.
Truly, the shaggy dog is a WASP staple and they can be purchased from the ultimate ivy purveyor, J Press. In addition, Ralph Lauren has made some nice shaggy dog sweaters in the past, and Rugby offered an affordable model this season in several colors. The sweaters from J Press will keep you very warm, and with temperatures in the 20s, I needed it yesterday. I paired my shaggy with:

Tweed Jacket (Madison fit, full cut) _ try to find jackets in your size in a fuller cut, rather than buying one size up. The shoulders will fit better, but still allow room for a hefty shaggy dog sweater

Nothing better than a shetland wool sweater...J Press or Brooks Brothers...always the right thing to wear in cold weather... this has been a good sweater week!
