Without question, croquet is another preppy sport, and perhaps it was created for the less athletic preppies. The sport also gives one a great opportunity to eat cucumber sandwiches and sport a bow tie and blazer while playing. Antique croquet sets can be expensive, but a reasonable set can be purchased for decent price. So, pick up a set soon, and you can have a blast this spring.

LL Bean actually has a good quality set and not an expensive price. What WASP would ever ignore LL Bean?

At the club Croquet players wear all white attire.
L.L. Bean USED to have a good quality set. The set they are currently selling if of very low-quality compared to the older set.
As a New England WASP, I have to say that any true WASP will ignore L.L. Bean now that most of their items are "imported" and quality and design has declined significantly.
