La France ~ by Kipp

Yes, it is true: j'adore la France. I know many of you are going to be appalled and instantly defend England. Whilst it does hold a unique place in my heart due to my heritage, I also love France. French is one of my second languages and I thoroughly enjoy continuing my lifelong study of the language and culture.

To be truly cultured one must study the world around you. An appreciation of French culture, history, and art is essential to any classical education. I am not saying that you must get your Certificat d'Études Française de La Sorbonne, but a basic study is compulsory.

I must also point out that I am completely in love with the outfit shown above. The pearls, scarf under the button down, blazer, and of course Hermès, c'est tellement parfait!

Ce que vous appelez la France n'est souvent que Paris.

Love that outfit, and love Hermès. I can appreciate France and the French, also Italy, but my heart belongs to the Germanic countries.

Kipp and Crawford, I know that the both of you speak French, so I have no idea what Anonymous is saying. If it is bad, let me know! Thanks!

Oh no Richard, they're fine!

They are just rightly saying that when most people speak of France they mean Paris. Actually annon, I prefer the south of France. My best friend lives in Valbonne, a very small village near Cannes, and I prefer to be there than Paris!

And contrary to misguided popular opinion, their soldiers aren't too bad, either. I served alongside of many of them in Afghanistan and they are every bit as professional and courageous as those from the UK and USA. We often forget that their soldiers LIKE Americans and the USA, it isoften their politicians who don't and who do not act in concert with the USA or the other NATO countries for that matter.
