With another warm day in WASP Land, I decided to wear another bright colored pair of chinos. Today, we are getting a head start on St. Patrick's Day by breaking out the grass green milano fit Brooks Brothers chino trousers. Honestly, I hate the word chino, but I can't call these trousers khakis since they are not khaki colored. I paired the pants with a OCBD and a warm weather tweed also from Brooks. Now, if I just can find that blasted pot of gold.

WASPs don't celebrate St. Patrick's Day.
I find that at my age and build that the Milano cut trousers at BB are just a tad too tight and slim cut. It seems that more of their stores are carrying more and more slim cuts in all men's clothing. That makes shopping for those of us who are no longer so slim, a bit more daunting.
This is a much better balance than you had with the red ones. But I'd still recommend rethinking the RL/slim-fit look. It's for kids. Not many people past prep school can (or at least should) try to pull it off.
Richard, i am not sure why you don't like the term "chinos"...afterall as every WASP knows..they are chinos!
Milano is too trim for most adults and I agree WASPs do not celebrate St. Patrick's Day...if fact it is ignored.
And if you do decide to "celebrate" wear orange like I did! The sight of my orange cords made all of the disgusting people at the parade in NYC cringe!
I once walked in Hennesey's Pub in Morristown, NJ on a St Patrick's Day wearing BLACK & TAN (and did so on purpose to see if any of the Micks and fake Micks would notice). As you know, the Balck & Tans were the paramilitary police the Brits used to quell the republican troubles after the Easter Uprising. One old gent, rather far along in his cups and with the busted blood vessels in his nose said to me in what I believe was brogue from near Cork, "Laddie, you're a brave one you are, comin' in here dressed like that today." I laughed and told him he was the ONLY patron that night who noticed. I then pointed out to him that I was Anglo-Irish and a Protestant. He just clucked his tongue and walked away shaking his head.
