This fall season, the go to shoe appears to be the camp moccasin, and without question this is a good shoe that is produced by L.L. Bean. However, I have wondered why we have not seen more of the duck boot which is also manufactured by L.L. Bean. The Official Preppy Handbook paid homage to the iconic shoe, and I sometimes sport my duck boots on days that it is not raining (as suggested by the OPH).
Duck boots come in many forms, but my preferred form is the moccasin. I enjoy being able to just slip them on the same way I slip on my tassel loafers or penny loafers. The shoe can be dressed up or down, and I have even worn my duck boots (moccasins) with cords, OCBD, sport coat, and tie.
When purchasing duck shoes or boots, always, always pick L.L. Bean. As much as I love Ralph Lauren, Brooks Brothers, etc. I would never stray from L.L. Bean when purchasing this shoe. The only exception I could think of is if Polo did something really special with theirs, but looking at past renditions, I am not impressed.

I love LLB duck boots but they are SOOOO wide! Not made for girly feet, even though they claim to be in women's sizes. I really wish they would redesign them to fit women too!
Also, I don't think I mentioned this but please ignore if I did. Do you know that you have the blury photo image word verification enabled? If so and you like it, please ignore. But a lot of people don't know it's enabled so I am trying to note it just in case you want to take that off.

KK,
I have no idea what you are talking about when you refer to blury photo image. How do I fix it, and what is it doing to my blog.
Also, sorry about the shoes. If you can't get L.L. Bean to work, I would try Sperry. They make duck shoes for women in girly colors. Maybe they will fit better.
"This fall season, the go to shoe appears to be the camp moccasin, and without question this is a good shoe that is produced by L.L. Bean."
When I read that first sentence of this post, I recalled reading something similar in another blog a few days ago. The blog is called "Ivy Style," and the post began with the sentence:
"If Rugby’s fall collection is any indication, fall’s “it” shoe will be an LL Bean-style camp moccasin."
Did you read that blog post too? If not, you should check out that blog. It seems to be something you'd like.
Cheers!
Though Chensvold and I have very little in common, we without question search the same sites for blog post. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that brands like Rugby, Brooks Brothers, etc. are featuring this shoe this season. Brooks even has a $200 plus version.
You will have to forgive me if I don't indulge in Mr. Chensvold material. I have long become bored with the Ask Andy Trad movement that is entrenched in his site.
Richard, you dolt! That guy was pointing out that you obviously plagiarized Chensvold's writing. Your first sentence is an unmistakable--if pained and awkward--reiteration of Chensvold's first sentence.
Dude, you totally plagiarized that sentence!!! Lol. Sad.
Plagiarize is a serious accusation, and I don't think two people pointing out the obvious is plagiarizing. I did go back and read his post, and it is clear that each post is very different. I quit reading Ivy Syle a long time ago. However, if it makes your pathetic day better to accuse me of plagiarizing from Chensy, then go for it.
*Plagiarizing is a serious accusation.........
Hmmm. I think this isn't your proudest moment, Richard. It doesn't matter that "each post is very different"; you clearly plagiarized the Ivy Style blogger's sentence. That's shameful and un-WASPy.
Again, I didn't but what ever. All you self righteous anonymous posters please find something else to gripe about. I guess if I post on OCBDs I plagiarized that too! Silliness, is what this is....on your part, not mine.
Duke Crustwood,
You're trying to avoid the truth of the matter. You stole from Chensvold. This isn't about whether you both post about camp mocs or button-downs. It's about taking what somebody else wrote, moving things around a little bit, and then presenting it as your own writing. That's called plagiarism.
I think it relates to your secret unrequited love for Chensvold.
The camp moc is, as the name implies, a warmer month shoe. Not fall.
Also, L.L. Bean sell duct shoes, not duck shoes.
LL Bean sells duck boots!
Two men noticing the same thing and making the comment in two very different post is not plagiarism.
However, continuing to discuss such silliness is idiocy.
It's pretty funny that you plagiarized a guy you claim to despise. Maybe you're harboring a secret crush on Chensvold.
My replies to all the childish comments stops here. I have allowed and open forum on this, but my commenting is over.
Duct shoes are actually shoes repaired with tape, not these rubber hunting sheos.
