Toggle Coats

With winter in the air, and with super frigid temperatures, I pulled out my heavy duty toggle coat a few days before Christmas.  Now, this chap appears to be wearing a super fitted updated version, and I can assure you that he cannot fit a sport coat under this toggle.  However, it still looks nice, and I am huge fan of his accessories.  Anyway, the point is buy a toggle coat.  It will out live you!

If you want the quintessential duffle coat, get the Gloverall model 512. They're on sale now at J. Press.

Richard, I didn't imagine you were Asian? Is there something you'd like to tell me?

I think duffle coats went out of fashion in the UK sometime in the early 1960's when the Royal Navy stopped using them and they became de rigueur for CND marchers.

For an adult they provide no protection against the rain that is currently drowning England, While apart from pre-schoolers, children may be averse to wearing them lest they have to suffer any comparisons to themselves and Paddington Bear.
