Lilly Pants Worn Properly

Photo Credit:  Necessary and Proper......Link can be found in the comments.

You seldom see men wearing Lilly Pants, and you seldom see men wearing them properly.  Too often, men wear these pants 10 sizes too big, and hideously long.  Since we are in resort season, I thought I would post a picture of Lilly pants worn properly.

A preppy gentleman's trousers should always be flood ready, but not ridiculously short.  Lilly should always be worn with horse bit loafers in my opinion as well.  Slippers are just too much with Lilly (too much blam), and penny loafers are too collegiate.

Plus, I can only assume that Lilly no longer makes men's trousers.  I haven't seen them in several seasons.  Bring 'em back Lilly, bring 'em back!

Which one are you, Richard? The legs wearing the floral pattern or the seafoam green?

Hi! Would you mind crediting the original source of this photo? The full article (and more photos) can be found here: http://necessary-and-proper.com/2012/12/31/lilly-p-at-sea/. These are vintage Lilly P--we'd also love to see them bring back some more menswear. Thank you for reading! Lauren & Van
