Alken Print Revised

I was happy to purchase this original print by Alken that is over a hundred years old, but I did not have a proper frame after the purchase.  So, I threw it in an 8 x 10 and put some plaid ribbon on the glass for fun since it was around Christmas time.  Recently, I had the print properly framed but decided to carry forward with my origninal plaid idea.  I took some of the cloth and had the framing company incorporate it.  Thoughts?

look into french matting -custom if you really wanted to go all out...
however these sort of borders work best, IMOP, with simplified drawings with a limited pallet...
Your print might look a lot more impressive in person, but in the photo, on the web, there's 'a lot going on'

I seem to recall that the print was a gift?

Indeed, your 12/22 post stated that this print was a gift from a friend. Puzzling.....just puzzling...

It was a Christmas gift in the original post. Rich has never been known for telling the truth though, has he?

I prefer the Pier 1 frame. So classy.

Come clean, Ricky. You bought it online, didn't you?

Looks like something you'd see in a municipal golf course bar.
